SME Functional Lead – Foundations and Collections
Position Summary
The SME Functional Lead for the Foundations and Collections Learning Branch (HDNGS) will oversee the development and delivery of training focused on GEOINT tasking, collection, and exploration applications. This role emphasizes key focus areas such as GEOINT Collections requirements and strategies, Foundation GEOINT data, products, and services, Human Geography, and Space/Counter-Space activities. The SME will guide instructional efforts, curriculum development, and deliver expert-level training in these specialized areas to enhance the skills of NGA and Intelligence Community (IC) personnel.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and instruction of training programs focused on GEOINT tasking, collection strategies, and Foundation GEOINT data, products, and services.
- Provide expert guidance in training on Human Geography and Space/Counter-Space activities, ensuring content aligns with operational and strategic intelligence needs.
- Manage and oversee Mobile Training Teams (MTTs) that deliver training at both NGA facilities and other global training locations.
- Develop and maintain course content in areas such as GEOINT collections management, foundational data, and services, and ensure courses stay current with the latest tradecraft and technological advancements.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders to align training programs with mission objectives and emerging needs.
- Maintain travel forecasts and expenditure tracking, reporting progress in monthly PMR meetings with the government.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, impactful training to students within the NGA and broader IC community.
- Current TS/SCI Clearance
- Counterintelligence Polygraph (Preferred)
- National Geospatial-Intelligence College (NGC) Instructor Certification (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in geospatial analysis, geography, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in GEOINT analysis, collection management, or related areas within NGA, DoD, or the Intelligence Community (IC).
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs, particularly in areas related to GEOINT collections, Human Geography, and Space/Counter-Space activities.
- Knowledge of GEOINT sensors, collection strategies, and the GEOINT Information Management System (GIMS).
- Familiarity with IC and NGA product standards, geospatial analysis workflows, and collection management processes.
