Operations Planner - Journeyman (35D)
Location: Colorado Springs, CO | Type: Full-Time | Clearance: TS/SCI – SAP Eligible

Overview
DarkStar Intelligence is seeking a Journeyman Operations Planner to support HQ SpOC/S35D. In this role, you will provide essential coordination, planning, and administrative support across Space Domain Awareness (SDA) operational efforts. Responsibilities include supporting planning teams, coordinating with mission partners, analyzing SDA capabilities, and contributing to the integration of space operations across acquisition and mission readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive staff support including task response, document review, development, training plan validation, and SAP policy integration.
- Engage with SDA operators and mission partners to identify mission gaps and inform capability awareness.
- Analyze existing SDA capabilities, coordinate with Capability Collaboration Teams (CCTs), and track solution development.
- Participate in Operational Planning Teams (OPT) and support requirements refinement, systems engineering, and joint SDA initiatives.
- Contribute to IOC/FOC determinations, Configuration Review Boards, and Deficiency Review Boards; review AF Form 1067s and develop risk assessments and recommendations.
- Provide input on operational test planning, training plans (STPs), and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for SDA weapon systems.
- Evaluate AoA concepts, support CONOPS/CONEMPS development, and assess new SDA technologies for integration and affordability.
- Draft and review Security Classification Guides (SCGs); support site survey coordination, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance; SAP eligibility.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in administrative or operational coordination, supporting SDA or related mission areas.
- Bachelor’s degree required OR an additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with SDA operations, capability analysis, and operational planning.
- Familiarity with JCIDS, operational test planning, and joint operational processes.
- Administrative or program coordination training preferred.
